** The cassette art & layout are entirely created from Houston Mass Murders press photos, crime scene photos, files from former Harris County District Attorney Carol S. Vance, photos from former Harris County medical examiner Joseph Jachimczyk, true crime memorabilia (aka murderabilia), and "autographs" of all three of the responsible persons - David Owen Brooks, Elmer Wayne Henley Jr, and the only partial autograph of Dean Arnold Corll (taken from the personal address book of Mary Henley used during the early 1970's). All from the personal collection and used courtesy of Rick Staton. **

Thematically centered around one of the most horrifying parts of crimes to ever happen in Houston, “The Man With The Candy” is meant to be a historic audio document presented to the world in unbiased form.

The Houston Mass Murders were a series of killings that took the lives of at least 28+ young men, mostly from a single area in Houston, TX in the early 1970’s and carried out by Dean Corll along with his two teenage accomplices David Owen Brooks & Elmer Wayne Henley Jr.

On the morning of August 8, 1973 during the aftermath of a would be party Dean Corll was shot and killed by Henley while Corll attempted to murder Henley, another teenage boy, and a teenage girl. Because of the actions of Elmer Wayne Henley Jr. on that morning the series of killing were revealed to Houston and the world at large.

Brooks & Henley were both sentenced to life imprisonment for their roles in the crimes.
